What do you consider wholefoods to be?

Wholefoods - 7 Principles of Health
Wholefoods delicious and nutritional

Wholefoods are plant based and come from nature. It helps our bodies to function and allows the body to reach their highest mental and physical capacities. Wholefoods have an electrical frequency (called phytonutrients) that our body picks up and uses to clean, heal and repair our body.

When we eat wholefoods, it can target specific parts of the body for health and healing. For example carrot which looks like an eye when you slice it, it enhances the blood flow to and function of the eyes. A Walnut looks like a brain, and develop the neuron-transmitters for brain functions. Wholefoods are amazing and so good for us.

Did you know that fresh fruits are high in fibre? Having a cold press juice once a day will drastically improve your fibre intake.

Love your food and with each mouthful enjoy the texture, taste, and the flavours. We do not have to be all good chefs or cooks to make a beautiful meal. All we need is creativity and love. There are so many recipes online, look at what is in your pantry or fridge and make a fabulous dish. If it does not turn out as demonstrated on the website, write down what works and what does not. Within a month, you will be a brilliant creative cook. Have you ever had the experience of making your own creations and it all comes together, it is an amazing feeling. In a month time, look back and see what you have accomplished, by being creative and giving love in the kitchen, and making these amazing meals.

Each of us have amazing unique bodies, we are so different and special, that we forget to listen to them. Every minute your body is sending out signals and telling you something.

So I have a challenge, have a food diary with you or some where you can makes notes, at the end of each day, write down how you felt after each meal, how you felt when you woke up in the morning and how your day went, how much love did you receive and how much love you sent out during those meals. It is similar to journaling. After 7 days you will realise you are being more present at those times instead of being in automate mode. The more you do this, the more you will start noticing similarities, for example eating a slice of toast in the morning did not fill me up because I had a snack within an hour or two, so maybe I could replace it with coconut yogurt, nuts and berries. Another example, I have an energy dip around about 3:00 to 3:30 in the afternoon, this could be that my lunch was a high animal protein or high carbohydrates meal. Having a high animal protein or high carbohydrates meal your body is using all it energy to processing the food and that is why there is an energy dip. You could replace the high animal protein meal or high carbohydrates meal with a raw salad, cold press fruit juice, nuts and seeds and some fruit as a snack. There are many wholefood options out there that will improve your energy levels and provide nutritional value to your body and thereby improving your health and well-being.

What actions could you take?

  1. Look at your current eating plan, review it and make a decision and ask yourself is this beneficial or contributing to my dis-ease

  2. Gradually incorporate wholefoods into your meal plan and create healthy eating habits

  3. Create meal plans that will benefit to your health and well-being

  4. Shop locally and eat fruits that are in season

  5. If organic foods is not an option, pop a half cup of apple cider vinegar in your sink and fill it up with fresh clean water and wash the fruits and vegetables from any chemicals or toxins that they have been exposed to
